Ficus is a large genus of plants that inhabits a lot of different environments. The species that we tend to cultivate in the home are either used to a semi-epiphytic habit or are totally terrestrial and that is what this mix perfectly caters to.

Using a blend of: Coco Coir, Perlite, Bark, Sand, Zeolite, Activated Charcoal, Worm Castings

The marrying of activated charcoal and sand in this slightly denser mix provides excellent drainage whilst being detoxifying for the resilient yet troublesome roots of our beloved Ficus. The sizable bark content in the blend also serves to suit those Ficus species that are semi-epiphytic growers, as well as contributing to a little extra moisture retention to this sandy mix. But don’t use this blend just for Ficus alone, though we name with a genus in mind there are plenty of other plants that will adore this blend as it is or with minor alteration. Some of the plants that will adore this next include Rubber Plants, Peperomia, Bonsai, Citrus Plant, Fiddle Leaf Fig, Palm, Avocado Plants and even Hibiscus.

HOW DO I KNOW I'M PICKING THE RIGHT SOIL?

Well, of course if your plant is an Alocasia, the Alocasia mix is probably the best bet! However, if your plant isn't the namesake of any of our mixes, then it’s all about which of the mixes matches that plant’s needs, such as moisture retention. For instance, our Calathea and Maranta mix is also great for begonias as they both enjoy their soils staying lightly moist. Or conversely, our Cacti and Succulent mix is great for sansevieria. Which enjoy a decent dry out between waterings, so a quick-drying cacti mix is probably the best shout! HOW DOES DELIVERY WORK?

UK (excluding N. Ireland and the Scottish Highlands) All orders from mainland UK will be shipped via DPD Next Day, between 1-2 working days after the day the order is made. Keep an eye out for the confirmation email with your 1-hour time slot for the next day.

N. Ireland and Scottish Highlands Orders made from N. Ireland and the Scottish Highlands will be shipped via DPD 48-Hour Service. Orders will be dispatched 1-2 working days after the day the order is made.

International We are still working on finding the best courier for our EU & International customers-to-be. Keep an eye on our Instagram, we will make a lot of noise about it when we do open up to the rest of the world.

HOW DO RETURNS WORK?

If you are unhappy with the products you've received, please don't hesitate to contact us via our contact page and we will do our best to resolve the issue. If items are sealed and unused, we are happy for you to return them and we will refund the cost of the item.

CAN I SWAP OR REMOVE ITEMS?

If you decided against one of the items you've ordered and don't want to replace it, just let us know via the contact form and we will refund you those items. If you'd like to swap out an item for a different one, or different size, then we will give you a full refund and ask that you redo the order. Please note this means the order will have a new, later dispatch date.

CAN I ADD TO MY ORDER?

If you have forgotten to add to your order and it's not yet been dispatched, it's ok don't panic! Send us a message via our Contact Us page and we will amend the order for you. Please note this means the order may have a new, later dispatch date.

I NEED TO CHANGE MY DELIVERY ADDRESS!

If you’d like to change the delivery address you've given, just use our contact form and we will edit it for you!

I'VE MISSED MY DELIVERY & IT'S BEEN SENT BACK!

If our couriers have attempted to deliver a parcel to you and it has ended up being sent back to us, we ask for a small redelivery fee (based on parcel size and weight) to cover the extra delivery cost. We ask the same if an error was made at the customers end with the delivery information (e.g. Incorrect flat number) resulting in the order being refused and sent back to us.

WHAT IF I HAVE A DAMAGED OR MISSING ITEM?

If your items have arrived and you've found the items are damaged or are missing from the order, please take a photo and contact us via the contact form and we will send out a replacement as soon as possible.

Recycling Soil Ninja Packaging

Our packaging is fully recyclable, pop the branded labels into your recycle bin and dispose of the bag as you would with other carrier bags, bread bags and other recyclable plastic packaging at your nearest recycling facility.
